Kasai wandered in a random direction. He gave up on trying to escape the God-forbidden Dessert. He gave up trying to find his way to Forcena because he didn't have a map. (I wrote this before you posted the map so I didn't have any idea which direction to go.) Suddenly, Kasai felt a cold chill go down his spine. People shouldn't be feeling cold chills in the desert so Kasai knew that something was wrong. Looking around so see the source of the "chill", Kasai noticed that the ground around him was starting to become damp.
"What the heck is going on!??!" Kasai said as a giant whirlpool appeared out of the sand. As the water faded away there was an old man floating in mid-air. It was a man that Kasai hoped that he would never meet again. It was none other than Lazarith, the water keeper of the desert. The last time Kasai saw Lazarith was about 2 years ago, when he killed a fire demon.
"Hello again young one!" Lazarith had a wicked grin on his face as he said this. "I have come to warn you about something that could threaten your survival. I have just recently learned of something that is polluting our waters. It is a Chimera hair that somehow got into my water. It is polluting almost all of the water in Navarre. I'm going around telling the people and trying to find the beast that the Chimera hair came from. "
"Isn't that kind of obvious that Chimera hair came from a Chimera?" Kasai cut in. He didn't want to heard anymore of his survival tips about life. "Look do you have something to tell me or not? I'm trying to find my way to Forcena, so if you can help me please do, but if not then will you please go away?"
"Rude it is to interrupt the elderly. Now as I was saying, in order to protect yourself from the poisons of the Chimera hair, then you must put this in your mouth." Lazarith opened his hand and there was a blue stone. "Once you put this in your mouth, swallow it, and you will become immune to Chimera hair poisoning."
Kasai's patience was running to an end so he took the stone and put it in his mouth. It tasted like tea and chocolate mixed together. But then, Kasai felt like his mouth was on fire. Then the heat spread throughout Kasai's body. It felt like he was in a furnace that kept on getting hotter and hotter. Kasai spit out the stone but the burning sensation stayed. "You should be careful of things you put in your mouth young one" Lazarith said with a wide grin. "You shouldn't accept things from crazy old coots."
Kasai wanted to say some words that shouldn't be said but his mother had told him the consequences of using them. Instead Kasai just screamed at the top of his lungs and tried to hit Lazarith with his sword. Lazarith just laughed as he floated around in the air. "It is so much fun when travelers actually take the stone? Oh don't worry young one, it will soon be over."
The burning started to die down and the pain was becoming more subtle. In a few more seconds, it seemed like nothing even happened. "Was that supposed to be another one of your lessons?" As Kasai was saying this, the small stone that Kasai spit out flew up to the tip of his sword and melted into the blade. "Uh… what just happened?"
Lazarith flew in a bit closer and said to Kasai, "I taught you a very important lesson today. Never accept random things from strangers. You must promise me that you will remember that. I have done my fair share of traveling around the world and there have been many people that have offered me random apples and whip cream. So I am warning you, not to take their food." After he said this, Lazarith reached into pocket and pulled out a giant pile of cotton candy. "Do you want some young one?"
"Didn't you just tell me not to accept food from weird old men?"
"True, I did. Too bad, you're missing out on Frierd's famous cotton candy." Lazarith took the whole thing and stuffed it in his mouth. "MMMMHHH! That was delicious! Too bad you said no."
Kasai whipped out Sirenki and pointed it at Lazarith. "BAKABOOM!" A flaming meteorite flew from the heavens and hit Lazarith square in the head. "I hope you stay dead." Kasai looked at the body of the old water spirit crumpled on the sand. A thought dawned upon Kasai, "I just killed an innocent old man." Guilt surged through Kasai's inner conscience. But strangely enough, the guilt did not last. Why feel guilty when he deserved to die? Kasai didn't feel bad one bit so he just walked off. "What do I do now?" Then a thought dawned upon Kasai, Lazarith might have a map on him. Kasai searched through the pockets of Lazarith and found a role of parchment. "YES! I have a map now!" With that, Kasai strolled off, never looking back.
*Alright the moral of this story is never let Microsoft word die on you without saving because the ending was better before. I'll probably edit it later.
