Karuto walked in noncommitically, trying to find something to do. A teller at a window spotted her and called over to the assassin, 'May I help you young lady?'
Karuto let her gaze drift over to the woman teller lazily, and after a moment she shrugged. Taking her hands out of her pockets, she came over to the window and leaned on it with one elbow on the sill.
'Would you like to withdraw something, um...what's your name?'
Karuto closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again. This woman had gotten herself into more than she knew. 'Karuto Zaoldyeck. Surely you've heard of me?'
The teller stepped back nervously. 'Y-yes, ma'am. Karuto, Karuto...n-number 1046539,' she murmured. shuffling through file folders and visibly cowed by the presence of sombody so important. 'Ah! It seems...you've got a large collection of zenny...'--her eyes widened when she saw the total amount--'weapons...needles...?...miscellaneous items. So what would you like to withdraw?'
Karuto glanced from side to side quickly, as if looking to see if anyone was listening. Leaning closer to the teller, she muttered, 'Quickly. The Kageboshi, the Busuto, the Murasame, the Homura, and the Cythara Anglica. Handle them gently, won't you?'
Not bothering to ask questions, as she knew they wouldn't be answered, the teller nodded swiftly and departed to collect the wanted items.
Karuto shoved her hands into her pockets again and let her gaze begin to linger, also again. She suddenly spotted a familiar spiky black-haired head among the crowd, carrying a fishing rod, and narrowed her eyes. The one she had to kill tonight. Well, he had grown taller over the last time she had seen him. Sad Karuto had to assassinate him, they had been such good friends...but she banished those thoughts and turned her attention to the teller, who had come hurrying back with a small bundle that clinked every now and then. 'Here you are, miss,' she said, handing the bundle over quickly and bowing.
Karuto nodded and carelessly threw a small bag of zenny onto the counter as a tip. Didn't hurt to be polite, even if you were a killer.
