sneh *rolls eyes*
((this is before all the roleplaying of Sin and my mission but a little after the Mahha episode. w00t.))
Karuto's feet skipped the last few steps to the dock from the ship, Xylacorabi ahead of her. She was apparently eager to see her family, after all Karuto had grabbed her away suddenly without her being able to see her aunt or mother. The assassin had of course apologised later, but Xylacorabi still wanted to see them. So they were going to see them (Karuto obviously paying for all the travel expenses {still guilty about what had happened}). Xylacorabi ran past the inn, weapons shop, armor shop, and various houses to her destination, just at the edge of the Sub-Zero Snowfield: a solitairy cabin, looking comfortable and homely. Grinning, Xylacorabi knocked on the door, Karuto behind her, staring over the mercenary's shoulder curiously for a glimpse.
((Eh, you continue it. too busy reading hellsing fanfiction and reading dragons of an autumn twilight and being pestered by evil children {Alluka, of course} and being bothered to brush my teeth and worrying about network adapters and thinking about cosplaying and...oh, just roleplay the next! Ja...)

A elderly looking woman opened the door. 'Deselda! (got that from zelda...^^') Xyla's home!' Deselda, Xyla's mother, rushed to the door. 'So, you're home! Got some new chisels I see. Oh, and Karuto's here also! Did I hear a rumor about your mother dying? Oh well, come in!'
Xyla sat down on the chair by the fireplace. 'Erm, Karuto's mother is fine, it's her grandpa that died. Rumors.' Xyla added as she shook her head.

'Feh,' Karuto muttered. 'I WISH she would die.' When Xylacorabi, and Deselda stared at her wide-eyed, she quickly added, 'Erm...just kidding!'
Xylacorabi leaned over to her mother, murmuring, 'Karuto's family is dysfunctional.'
'I HEARD THAT, STUPID!!'

'You STUPID, sucker! Now GO AWAY!' Xyla said angrily.
'YOU GO AWAY!'
'YOU!'
'NO YOU!'
Deselda gaped at them. They are best friends, and yet they argue all the time.

Xyla sighed. 'Come on, Karuto. It's getting late. Let's go to sleep.' Karuto agreed, knowing that Xyla's trying to get off the subject of 'Stupid' people. Karuto followed Xyla to her room, where there're two beds. Xyla climbed into one. 'Home sweet home.' she murmured.
Karuto realized that this is the chance to start questioning Xyla about the Eternal Sword, when she's sleepy. 'So, why does the Eternal Sword 'deny' you? Why doesn't it trust you?' She asked carefully. Xyla was silent for a looooong time, and only until Karuto already gave up and assumed that Xyla's asleep did she start to talk.
'The Eternal Sword...there's a history to it, that envolves the Caelum god and Glantina the beautiful mortal.
'It was the New Age, the gods created everything, creatures, demons, and humans. Caelum was the greatest god of them all. The evil God Ater betrayed the gods and created a place called 'Atra', where all demons and evil can gather. And so the Gods asked humans to help him, to forge swords for all the gods (except Ater). The one Caelum got was the most powerful sword. The Eternal Sword.
'In one battle, they defeated many demons and Ater retreated into Atra, where he created many more demons. It was at this time, when all Gods are training to be better so they can defeat Ater once and for all, that Caelum, while resting at his favorite place by a big stone (disguised at a mortal), that he met Glantina.
'They both fell in love and had a good time together, but Ater striked again. Caelum forged Glantina a sword called the Sword of Eternity that looked exactly like the Eternal Sword and gave it to Glantina so that she can defend herself if she's ever in danger. Caelum told Glantina that he would be back, one day.
'However, Ater was stronger than ever, and 7 years passed and Caelum hadn't returned. Glantina's parents forced Glantina to marry a Hunter named Venator. Glantina liked Venator very much, but she cannot forget Caelum. So they married and had a child. But Glantina still cannot forget Caelum.
'One day, Venator died while hunting a boar. Glantina was sad, yes. Then one day, she overheard a god disguised as a mortal talking to another god disguised as a mortal about Caelum and Glantina. Glantina quickly hurried to battle, hoping to meet Caelum there. She soon became one of the most powerful warriors, and soon she had to face Ater. However, strong as Glantina was, Ater destroyed the sword of Eternity and killed Glantina. After Caelum heard of this, he went and destroyed Ater, but, since he's immortal, he cannot die.'
Karuto gaped. 'So you're related to Caelum? Like he's your ancestor? But what's this got to do with Glantina?'
Xyla sighed. 'I'm not related to Caelum, I'm related to Glantina.
'After the battle, Caelum went and found Glantina's son. Caelum told him that Glantina's dead, and gave him the Eternal Sword. "This is the eternal sword," he told the boy. Then he lied that it was Glantina's sword, and the boy believed him, because he had seen the Sword of Eternity, which looked exactly like it. Caelum told a half goddess to take care of the boy, and when he reached the age of 15, tell him about the truth. And so, Glantina is my ancestor. Not Caelum, but my family has always had the sword.
'Haven't you ever wondered why I never told you much about my family OR my last name, yet I know almost everything about your fmaily? I've always hinted that my last name is 'Potentia', by telling you that my house if the Potentia Mansion. But my real last name is...Xiomara. The last name of Caelum when he's disguised as a mortal.
'Now, since the Eternal Sword was Caelum's sword, it only accepts the most noble Xiomara to be the owner of it. It doesn't seem to trust me, so I think it thinks I'm not noble enough to be it's owner. But one day it'll see, I'll do some real good in this world...that's a promise.'

*glare* I wouldn't gape...I would just blink a few times...a Hunter! How rude! Ahem...you don't know almost everything about my family... not yet anyway. YOU SHALL LEARN THE HORRIBLE TRUTH! Literally. Well, on with the roleplay. ~ * ~ .: (.:.) :. ~ * ~ (such a pretty thing *sad sigh* copyright ME!) Karuto listened to Xylacorabi patiently, digesting all of the information she was hearing. When Xylacorabi finished, she was silent for a moment. Then she spoke. Xylacorabi waited for the canon response of "Wow!" or "You already do enough good for this world!" or something like that. Instead... Karuto started laughing. 'You ain't seen NOTHING yet about MY family!' she snickered. Xylacorabi sweatdropped. 'That wasn't the point, stupid! The point is I have to do a lot of good for the world before it'll trust me! And I want to defeat the dark elves. And kill that Sin person. Maybe then,' she said wistfully, turning over in the bed to stare out the window to the thin crescent moon, 'then the Eternal Sword will trust me...' Karuto was once again quiet, then started laughing--again. 'SHUT UP YOU DOPE!' The Eternal Sword clanged against Karuto's head, who had been too busy laughing to avoid it, and she was too busy laughing to feel any pain anyway. Xylacorabi turned over again and immediately fell asleep, but not before musing the sanity--if their was any in her friend--of Karuto. When Karuto finally realised what happened she yelled, 'OUCH!' then also realised the Eternal Sword was in her keeping. 'Hee-hee-hee...' ((I have too much fun making funny stuff -.- well, not really funny...just stupid...*sigh*))

Xyla had some really weird dreams while sleeping. She dreamt that Karuto is the real owner of the sword and was laughing evilly, and Karuto stabbed Mahha and killed him. Then Karuto transformed into Sin and Mahha transformed into a boar, and Sin's cruelly slicing it. And then she sees Madame Goldmoon, smiling and tlaking in a hoarse voice, 'The Sword of Eternity isn't gone...it belongs to two good friends....' Then Xyla's drowning, in quicksand, until at last, she wasn't able to breathe.
Xyla woke up. She realized that she's wrapped tightly in her blanket (explains why she can't breathe). She sat up.
